Patient Hit by Bat

2 year old mix breed dog presented after being struck in the mouth with a baseball bat.

Tooth fragments remaining after bat impact.

Fragments of the canine tooth and 3 upper premolar teeth.

Fractured lower canine tooth.  Note the bleeding area which represents pulp exposure.

Rostral view of the same lower canine tooth that was mentioned above.

Another fractured canine tooth, again note the pulp exposure.  Though dogs don't always show it, this is a painful condition.
